Working at a smalltown newspaper has taught me the value of being able to have first-hand control over all mediums of the event you are expected to cover.
Thus, I was able to teach myself the proper way of capturing photographs when covering a sporting event.
At St. Bonaventure, I was fortunate to spend a semester learning from award-winning photojournalist Craig Melvin, a contract photographer for the Buffalo Bills and WWE and formerly for the NHL and Major League Marketing.
