2018 NCAA Tournament

During the 2017-18 season, the St. Bonaventure men’s basketball team put together one of the most impressive seasons in program history. Led by Jaylen Adams and Matt Mobley, the Bonnies, who started off their Atlantic 10 Conference schedule 2-4, finished the regular season on a 12-game winning streak to finish second in the conference behind Rhode Island.

In March 2018, the Bonnies were given an at-large bid in the NCAA tournament — their first appearance in six years. However, the road to the first round would have to go through Dayton as the Bonnies were forced into a play-in game against UCLA in the “First Four.”

After defeating the Bruins 65-58, the 11th-seeded Bonnies were then on to Dallas to take on sixth-seeded Florida at the American Airlines Center. The Bonnies, however, were defeated 77-62, ending their dream season.

I was fortunate to be among the media covering the Bonnies in both Dayton and Dallas, representing the Jamestown Post-Journal.

Below are some pictures from my time in Dayton and Dallas, as well as links to my columns in The Post-Journal.
